Such a huge shame, we have been going to Bellmores as a family for years, and they were always so excellent. However today they have refused to honour an appointment, booked for six weeks, for which we had an e-mail reminder, leaving my poor husband with no contact lenses. Immediately the new optometrist told us to go elsewhere - interesting business choice given that over the last year as a family we have spent around 1000 with them (we are a short sighted bunch).
Ultimately the Optometrist slammed down the phone on me, apparently asking her to stop speaking over me and telling her that the Bellmores 'way' was generally more helpful constituted verbal abuse. Sadly all the great opticians have left there now, leaving only this irate optometrist I spoke with. It's such a shame, it was brilliant before.

Lost details of my appointment but knew it was this week. Sought confirmation from Bellmore. Over two days. left a message on their answer machine, rang seven times. they didnt pick up once, although ringing, sent two e-mails which have yet to be answered. no response to any of my attempts at communication. Answer machine to my call on 25 May said sorry we are in training until 8 May.! They may be good opticians. but I am not prepared to trust them with my eyes, based on their inability to handle basic customer communication.

Exemplary service: overall very efficient, a comprehensive exam, knowledgeable by way of science as well as practicality, welcoming and friendly! It is evident that they take pride in their work and the service they provide. I've never enjoyed an eye exam, or really any exam, quite as much as this one!

Excellent service time and care taken was great wasn't a rushed job whilst checking. Staff are amazing very helpful. Would highly recommend.
