My wife & I recently went to CitySpecs Sheffield meadow hall and we both purchased a pair of TOMFORD prescription glasses. Firstly Let me just Say' the service we got from these guys from the minute we walked instore the Hole team were ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING from the eye testing to purchasing of our Glasses, was Great MEL especially she's out of this world, like a ray of sunshine she's such an attention to detail kind of person, and that for Us, it's still really nice, to see These Days, people just going that extra mile,.. Has I do think other shops lack this kind of approach, 10 Stars *************** All round... Went for ear check and wax clear, was managed by Aqsa who was personable, friendly but most importantly professional and competent. Aqsa showed me before and after on the screen to illustrate how intervention was certainly required. All done in no more than 20 mins, btw used suction method. Recommended

I recently had the pleasure of visiting City Specs in Meadowhall, and I have to say, its a truly exceptional optician and audiology experience. The booking process was straightforward and hassle-free I even managed a same-day appointment, which was so convenient.
The store has a fantastic selection of frames, catering to all tastes and budgets. From affordable, high-street options to high-fashion labels like Tom Ford, and even exclusive, hard-to-find collections such as Dita, Cartier, and Lindberg, the range is impressive and rare in the UK. Eric, who guided me through the selection, was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient, making the whole process both enjoyable and stress-free. He helped me explore the full range, including some truly stunning rare Cartier frames a real treat, even if slightly out of budget!
The in-store experience is enhanced by their state-of-the-art Carl Zeiss equipment, which ensures lenses are calibrated perfectly for each wearer. Eric also explained the option to collect my glasses from their Manchester store, which is very convenient as I travel there frequently. That store is also home to ChromeHeart frames, which are extremely rare City Specs Manchester is likely the only physical store in the North, or one of very few in the UK, to stock them, as ChromeHeart only sells directly and not through any other vendors.

I visited the hearing centre yesterday. From being greeted to my exit of the store I found the staff to be alert, friendly and very eager to assist. The audiologist in particular was so professional, knowledgeable, friendly and accomodating. I cannot thank her enough for the assistance and advice that she provided. A first class experience from start to finish by Zeeshan at City Specs. Advice & support given, with choosing frames & lens options & discussed at length to ensure they met my needs, without any compulsion to purchase.
Measurements on my varifocals were spot on with my new prescription glasses, unlike most other opticians where I often have to revisit several times for amendments to the graduations.
Really love my Bvlgari day specs & Balenciaga sunglasses. There are designer brands to be found in their sale section :) which are fabulous bargain options.

My mother was experiencing degraded hearing issues which were interfering with her daily quality of life, so Aqsa was contacted to see if she could help.
Aqsa was very responsive to my communications and we were soon discussing options to look into the problem. It did not take long to organise an assessment, which was reassuring in itself.
Once more Aqsa showed how professional and caring she is, clearly understanding the specific needs of my mother. When the assessment took place Aqsa checked the hearing aids, which needed a little maintenance, and that was supplemented by additional hearing tests and adjustments to the overall setup.
All of this was carried out in a professional, caring and friendly manner. At the end of the assessment my mother's overall hearing experience was improved, and she is most grateful for the care given, as am I. Great audiologist!

What a lifesaver
My granddaughter rang me on Tuesday and said that she needed her glasses sorting out before the start of college on Friday, but she wanted to keep her own frames, which are now discontinued. We went to her usual glasses provider and there was no way that they could help. It would be at least a week and a half for them to sort them out, and that would leave my granddaughter without glasses for the first week of college, and that couldnt happen.
Popped into City Specs on the off chance that they could help, and help they did. I spoke to Wayne and Zee and they were fabulous. They gave my granddaughter an eye test immediately and said that if they had the lens in stock they could do it there and then. If not then they would order them in and put them into her frames for Thursday. I couldnt believe our luck. I have been back today and the new lens have been fitted into her frames and an anti-glare coating put on the new lens .
I cannot thank CitySpecs enough, they are really professional and friendly and really good at what they do .

My father and I went to your branch because my father badly needed ear wax removal.we got a same day appointment no problem within two hours after ringing.the lady was very efficient and friendly.im really pleased because I've got my hearing back! It only took 20 mins for both ears.i would highly recommend this service to anyone.many thanks City specs meadowhall.

Got my first ever pair of glasses from CitySpecs. From the comprehensive eye examination, the detailed results, given to me by the optician, and then choosing and fitting of frames, it was a faultless experience. Yong and Mel were kind and helpful. To whom it may concern,
I wanted to share a very rare positive experience shopping on todays high street.
I bought a pair of ray ban sunglasses earlier this year from a Ray Ban pop up stand in Meadowhall shopping centre. I was getting married in May, so along with that and my stag do, I wanted a nice pair of sunglasses.
I cannot state I wear them on a regular basis, due to British weather, so the only wear they have had is my stag do in March and my wedding in May. However, they didnt stop a screw coming loose and be misplacing it.
I attended the same store, what I thought would be a relatively easy fix only to be informed that NO Ray Ban re-sellers or agents hold spare parts or even how to perform such a task! ( obviously I wont be buying a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses again)
I was diverted to a website to purchase a spare screw at the cost of 5.80. However, even the agent didnt know what screw I required.
Therefore, I left on the assumption I would throw these Ray Bans and purchase something of more quality. However, prior to leaving I decided to ask the question of your store in Meadowhall if they either A) carried out repairs or B) could identify the correct screw Id require.
I met with Mel who works at your Meadowhall store who rightfully informed me they did not carry out repairs. I explained my story to her, she took the glasses out of my hands, went through to the back and did something no Ray Ban specialist could do. She repaired them! I pleaded with her to take payment, but she refused. Hence the reason I am writing this review. Please pass on my thanks to Mel and the Meadowhall team.
In a period of majority of purchases nowadays being seen as throwaway products or the lack of support and due diligence from the sellers of this garbage, you guys continue to do what you do! I have been meaning to get my eyes tested for some time now, and I will be booking in with you in the next week or so, and should it be found I require glasses, I will be purchasing them from City Specs.
Mel explained the Meadowhall store is relatively new, so I wish you all the success in the future. The high street market needs more stores like you and less like Ray Ban!

Superb service! The staff went above and beyond. From greeting me, Mel looked after me and booked me in with an Optometrist who had time to answer any questions I had. He explained every point of the testing process and really cared about my eye health. Mel then helped me to choose some frames that suited my face, which I highly appreciate as it's hard to tell which look best on yourself.
