We have two instruments that can test your visual field. For screening purposes we use a Frequency Doubling machine. This tests the central part of your field of view and takes only 30 seconds per eye. For more extended visual field examinations and specific tests, such as the Estermann field test, which is a test used by the DVLA, we use a Humphrey Field Analyzer.

I got my first real eye test at St Albans Eye Care Centre and my first glasses as well. Recently got a slight change in prescription and got my new glasses. The process to select new frames and additions that would suit me was really fantastic and I really appreciate the attention and care received from Justin and the rest of the team in the really modern update to the office.

Very happy with my new glasses. Eye examination was very thorough, and I appreciated the help of the dispensing optician who helped me to pick frames which suit my face. For the first time ever I didn't feel rushed when selecting my new frames, and I feel confident I've chosen a pair I'll wear for many years. I highly recommend St Albans Eyecare Centre.
