How much does an eye examination cost?
NHS-funded basic exams are free. Our enhanced examination costs £35 to upgrade or £85 for fully private care including advanced diagnostics.
How long should I allow for an appointment?
We recommend 90 minutes to 2 hours for comprehensive eye exams and spectacle consultations with unhurried styling advice.
Do you provide children's eye examinations?
Yes, we see children from age 3 and specialise in Myopia Management using MiSight lenses and MyoCare spectacle solutions.
Can you handle complex prescriptions?
Our team specialises in high and complicated prescriptions, advising on lens technology to ensure maximum visual clarity and comfort.

By far the best overall optical experience myself & my husband have had. Excellent eye testing, an array of lens choice & really friendly service from the P&A team. What really stood out however, was James' optical styling input. Finally, after ten years of wearing glasses, I have a pair of frames that I love to wear. As a visual artist these frames enhance rather than detract from the way I see the world. Excellent, game changing service.

Brilliant eye examination from great people. First they wouldnt let me buy new glasses until my eyes settled after a major change in medication - huge respect to them for that. Every part of my examination done with great care and the after examination experience outstanding. Seeing brilliantly tonight once more.

I unfortunately split a contact lense shortly after arriving in Crieff for a holiday. Since I didnt take glasses with me, I called P and A Eyecare on the off chance they would be able to help and I was delighted to hear that they could! I was hugely impressed with their customer service and professionalism. Thank you very much for helping me so quickly and efficiently. Only wish we lived nearer and I would transfer to your practice for all future eye care.
