Eye Examinations

The initial part of the examination will involve a careful assessment of your history and symptoms. We will then ascertain your prescription and check the health of the eye. The eye examination includes tests which can establish the presence of conditions such as Glaucoma, Cataracts and Macular Degeneration.

We offer a comprehensive range of spectacle lenses from various manufacturers & have been accredited as a Nikon lens wear consultant. We also have the latest technology in software in Imagine-I, which allows us to demonstrate the features, and simulate the usage of spectacle lens designs currently available.

As an independent practice, at Unia Opticians, we have the freedom to fit an array of contact lenses to suit an increasing number of patients' requirements. Whether it be for leisure, sports, or where spectacles may be limiting your field of view, contact lenses can be a great alternative to glasses.
