Ravi's training and experience involved working in high street optical practices and within the NHS hospital eye service. He received extensive training in contact lenses, ocular disease and vision correction. In 2003 Ravi started working on a part-time basis at the Blackheath Eyecare Centre. When the owners retired he took over the practice with the support of his family and friends.


James Edward Collett qualified as an ophthalmic optician in 1933 and set up a private house practice at 37 Middle Park Avenue, Eltham.
