Solanki Optometrist is an independent opticians with branches in Huntingdon and St Ives, Cambridgeshire. The owner is Umesh Solanki BSc (Hons) MC Optom who lives locally in St Neots with his wife and 3 children.

We provide sight tests, contact lenses and complete spectacles. We believe in providing the highest levels of professional expertise and a personal and efficient service for our customers.

Unlike the large high street chains we are not tied to particular brands or products. Our service is genuinely impartial and we are able to offer the very fullest range of frames and lenses.

We have worked hard to build a team of experienced and highly qualified eye care professionals. We care about our customers experience with us, we aim to make them feel welcome and we want to get to know them and them us. Our service is thorough, unhurried and personal.

The business started small in East St, St Ives in the year 2000 and then grew through customer recommendations. In February 2006 we expanded and took over Church & Compton Opticians in Huntingdon. A significant restoration project was required for the building in Huntingdon, built in 1750 and we are proud that we have restored this listed building for future generations of Huntingdon. The St Ives practice relocated to its current premises on Bridge St in October 2007.
